Up Czech Republic, a specialist in employee care, has fundamentally revamped its Můj Up motivation platform this year, launching revolutionary tools to ensure a healthy corporate culture in addition to offering and managing benefits. As a result, the increasingly popular mobile version of the Můj Up platform won first place in the Mobile Applications category and third place in the Human Resources and Personnel Management category in the prestigious IEA 2023 digital project efficiency competition.
The Internet Effectiveness Awards is the most prestigious Czech competition for digital projects, organized since 2005 by the Association of Internet Solution Providers. In this year’s edition of the prestigious competition, companies and institutions once again competed in eleven fields and eight types of solutions. The effectiveness and benefits of specific projects are always evaluated by a jury composed of experts in digital solutions.
Among the projects in the mobile application category, the 16-member expert jury was most impressed by the unified digital motivation platform Můj Up for employers and their employees. Specifically, the increase in the use of the application by existing users, to which a number of this year’s innovations and new modules contributed significantly.
“This award confirms that we have been the most innovative player in the employee benefits and employee care market for several years. We are pleased that the path of innovation in HRtech and the development of platforms for employee engagement and motivation has proven to be the right one,” says Stéphane Nicoletti, CEO of Up Czech Republic, about the award.
Benefits, motivation, and job satisfaction in one package
The Můj Up platform has been helping company employees manage their accounts linked to the eStravenka or eBenefity card for six years, and at the beginning of 2023 it underwent a major transformation. The new extended solution, Můj Up Universo+, offers not “just” benefits, discounts, or efficient account management in a user-friendly, modern environment, but above all new tools designed to significantly improve company culture and strengthen overall business performance.
The key innovation is the Satisfaction Measurement module, which allows companies to regularly monitor employee satisfaction through online surveys. Complementary tools include the Poll and Ask Your Employer modules. Additional new features are aimed at strengthening connections among employees in hybrid work settings and improving the overall workplace atmosphere.
One of these features is the ability to create a personal profile in the Můj Up app, look up colleagues on the platform, and start chatting with them. The platform also incorporates gamification elements, designed to strengthen relationships not only between colleagues but also with the employer. New modules allow employees to send birthday or name-day wishes, invite a colleague for lunch, or simply give them praise for a job well done. The Marketplace module, on the other hand, enables employees to trade second-hand items with each other.
“These innovations have given employers and HR specialists better insights into employees—their challenges as well as their wishes—and made it easier to find the right solution for every situation. At the same time, they significantly boosted employee engagement with the Můj Up platform itself. Today, we have more than 300,000 users, and mobile access to the platform—already used by two-thirds of our users—keeps growing,” explains Nicoletti.
Four awards for a single client
In addition to taking the top spot among mobile applications, Můj Up also won an award in the Human Resources & HR Management category. With four awards in total, Up Česká republika ranked among the most successful clients of this year’s competition. Two of the awards went to its Aktivní město platform, which is designed to support citizens in spending their free time actively. For 2023, Aktivní město was recognized as the most effective digital project in the public sector and took 2nd place in the Digital Transformation category. Up ČR collaborates with FG Forrest and Spring systems on the Můj Up project, while Aktivní město is developed together with Spring systems.
“The Internet Effectiveness Awards have been evaluating the measurable impact of submitted projects since 2005 – it’s not about attractiveness but effectiveness. We are thrilled that even more projects were submitted this year compared to last, and that companies and institutions of all sizes competed for these prestigious awards. Once again, the jury had a very difficult decision to make, as the projects were truly high-quality,” said Radovan Jelen, Chairman of the Board of Asociace.BIZ, which organizes the IEA competition.
